Default thru hike 2014-might be crazy but crazy good

on 4-4-14 my 23 year old son and I will be starting a NOBO hike from Amicolola, taking the approach trail with two intrepid friends who will leave us after 2 days , go home and we , God willing, will start the walk to Maine. So look for us out there, not too many mother-son duos and please have some chocolate for us, it is a long, long walk and we will need sustenance ) BE safe everybody!

Blissfull and her son Paul Bunyon did there thru-hike I believe in 2007 and has some really good stories and a book about it. Good luck. If you would like to read it on trail, let me know and you can mail it back when done. All I ask is that you don't let it get ruined as it is a signed book.

Glad to see Red Sox Nation will be making a presence. I went to school in Boston during the 04 and 07 WS championships, great period for New England sports. I'm starting that day as well...looking forward to meeting everyone.
