Default Interesting video on Backpacker magazine site

I saw this video on the Backpacker magazine site. 10 uses for condoms while hiking in the backcountry. It was interesting. http://www.backpacker.com/10-ways-to...n=newsletter02

There is a reason I don't subscribe to Backpacker anymore. Actually there are many, and crap like this is just one.

(oldweatherman, I'm not trying to disrespect your post, just Backpacker Magazine)

Would be a nice idea to have multiple uses since they are being carried anyway.

But most of the 10 ideas they give are kinda stupid.
The trouble I have with campfires are the folks that carry a bottle in one hand and a Bible in the other.

    Click bait.

Slightly salacious title. Page views go up. Ad revenue possibly increases.

Backpacker is fine for newbies... its a starting point for cyber hikers...
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

First, a disclaimer. As of issue 13, I'm a regular contributor to this magazine. But I've suggested them long before I wrote for them.

I am a big fan of Trail Groove magazine. Online only. Excellent photography, great articles and they only review gear they actually use. Probably what outdoor magazines were like 20 yrs ago. Check it out:

Thanks Mags, I had been on their page once before, but don't remember if I took the time to really look at it, or if I was in a hurry searching a specific topic. I will definately look them over.
