    That and also check to see if it's got a bunch of treasure chests on it from geocaching. If it does, you can check the nearest one and then hopefully the owner can be identified through geocaching.com

    My GPS also has a "home page" where I plugged in my e-mail address with a notice for a reward.

    I'm not familiar with the operating of these devices. I will use your suggestion and find someone who is and see if we can find the owner. I check with Garmin and the devise was not registered. Thanks for the suggestions

    I take it back, there will be no geocaching stuff on that one.

    The 'Edge' model is for cycling. Not sure how it would have gotten where you found it.

    If you go to Garmin's website www.garmin.com you can find the model by the pictures (the Edge will be in the cycling section) then find the instructions on how to turn it on. If the owner is lucky it will have contact information on the first screen.
