Default Restore DWR on Outdoor Research Helium II

The DWR on my Outdoor Research Helium II has become almost entirely ineffective and it wets out after just a few minutes in moderate rain. The instructions on the company website to restore the DWR is to simply wash and dry the garment, but this doesn't appear to be restoring the coating as far as I can tell. Most of the products I have seen for restoring DWR apply to Goretex shells, and the Helium is not a gore tex garment. Any suggestions on how I can regain confidence in this gear? I got seriously soaked through on my recent AT section hike in cold rain and would like to avoid repeating that experience. I was not exerting myself (it was on a downhill into town) so I know it didn't wet through from the inside.

If it's a Helium 11 jacket it's made from 2.5 layer Pertex Shield 30D ripstop silnylon, I think. You should be able to replace the DWR with McNetts ReviveX(spray on or wash in) or a comparable Nikwax DWR.
