I delivered a hiker there yesterday afternoon about 4:00. I'd not been able to find Fleur's service dog vest and so decided not to try to walk around. Didn't matter. One would have to blaze a trail to get through the crowds. UNBELIEVABLE! Ordinarily, I try to avoid crowds. Just don't find them attractive. But THIS crowd was a HAPPY CROWD. Definitely it is different from the first one I attended in 1999. Whew.

Hopefully a lot less eventful than last years.

I was there Friday-Saturday. Alot has changed since I was there last in 97. Tent city has been moved further away from the center of town and there is a considerable law enforcement presence. From my viewpoint, things seemed to be more organized and there was a lot less public drunkeness.

2nd year attending. Stayed in ComfyLand during my time there this year and last. (Private property adjacent to tent city) Seemed like there were far fewer tents and hikers this year than last. Massive police presence and patrolling of the woods behind tent city...yet another reason to stay in ComfyLand. The drum circle was encircled by police-not a large turnout on Saturday night when I was there.

I too appreciated the police presence. Things seemed calm all around and I didn't hear too much hootin and hollerin after the hiker prom even as some were walking down the street around midnight.

I was in tent city bordering the woods and went to the bon fire the first night. Drums lasted till early morning. The police were laid back and watched the fire and enjoyed the music. Met a lot of people, listened to music and drank some shine. Great time, just wish I saw more WB members although I did see Teacher outside Larry's while driving on the trolley back to my vehicle. I had to meet the people I drove down there so I could get them back to Waynesboro.

I've seen several posts on Facepage where all the police presence pretty much ruined it. Glad I stayed local & went hiking in the Ozarks.

I'm starting to upload some videos to YouTube. They take a while to upload. The next one is at 52%, with about 50 minutes remaining . . . .
