Default Car rental in Lee, MA?

I need to leave the trail for a few days on the 5th of June. Lee, MA would be a comfortable hiking distance from where I am in NY (Graymoor Spiritual Life Center ball field). Anyone know if I can get a rental car in Lee? Should I slow down and shoot for Great Barrington?

    Thanks for the info!

If you can make it to Pittsfield, MA, that looks more promising.

There is also a Peter Pan bus which goes between NYC and Williamstown,MA which could get you between Williamstown, Pittsfield, Great Barrington, Sheffield, Lennox, Lee and a few other towns by the trail if your timing is off that runs a couple times a day as well as the Berkshire Regional Transit Authority which can get you between the towns as well.

R&W in Lee has rentals 413-243-0946. But you may have to use Avis in Pittsfield. Because R&W is just a local outfit who usually rents out cars while they do repairs.

I'd try for Pittsfield. BRTA http://www.berkshirerta.com/, has routes to Pittsfield that cross the Trail in Dalton. For Lee and GB, you'd need to hitch into town. Dalton is a days hike north from Lee.
