Very nice, love the Baldface area.
Greg P.
Couple of summers ago I did a loop starting at Royce Trail, to Basin Rim Tr., to Basin Tr. down to the Wild River -- just a few miles north of Baldface. A lot of it, especially along the Basin Rim Trail, was seriously overgrown and in need of maintenance. I had the feeling it hadn't been tended to in a long, long while.
I'll check out the videos later... what I saw looked interesting.
I really enjoy your videos, Peter. Thanks for taking the time and effort to create them.
Great videos. The Evans Notch area is wonderful, the quiet side of the White Mountains.
In one of the videos a question was raised about the meaning of "CTA" on the trail signs (rather than "AMC") along the Baldface Circle Trail. CTA stands for Chatham Trails Association (http://www.chathamtrails.org/about.html) which is the NH town where the trail is located. The CTA was set up in the 1920s to maintain trails around the nearby Cold River Camp (http://www.amccoldrivercamp.org) that were not being maintained by the AMC. They have even put out a great map and hiking guide for the Evens Notch area.
Good video! Will be keeping an eye out for your stuff from now on.....
