    Default before / after study

I read another post that said women lose less weight than men do.
Just thinking, it would be interesting to do a study about wt. loss , size loss etc. before and after.
    parameters I'm thinking of.

    body wt.
    blood pressure
    resting heart rate
% body fat, (many gyms have the equipment)
    waist measure
    mid thigh measure
    resting resporatory rate
    etc.
add to the list of measures.

I'm a computer idiot , help me set up this study for next year.

    Default

I remember someone measured people's feet, legs, etc before, during and after thru-hikes back in the 90's
Was his name Rolle or Rolley or something?

Anyway, have you seen this thread: http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/show...e-on-the-trail

I know personally, my feet gain a size and a half after a thru-hike or two in a row.
I haven't done one now in 10 years so, I regressed back to my before hike size.

Weight-wise, I never lose more than 5 lbs or so, because I don't have much to lose.
And I always stay in pretty good shape, with running, tennis, bicycling, etc.
Don't let your fears stand in the way of your dreams
