About 1-2 miles north of Erwin is a big hornet nest up in the tree. There was a paper sign there Sunday but it is probably gone from the storm that came through later that day. ... If you need water at Curley Maple Gap, cross the big log and get water from there. Better from there than in front of the shelter.

It was fun, she (the hostel, um friendly owner) was a hoot, he (the neighbor who hates hikers and believes the hostel, um friendly, is a brothel) was so amusing that it should be listed as an 'attraction'.

There was also a prescribed burn sign on a tree about 1 mile south of Indian Grave Gap on sat and haven't noticed the burn going on yet.
