    I don't think i saw a container that can be used to boil water in case the water isn't clean. But I do agree with clothing and knife being up there in importance. If you did mention the container, then I apologize.

    The only time I ever got lost was when I refused to believe my compass.
    (I thought it was being effected by some metallic object on my person.)
    I vowed to never again set off through the woods without a compass, and also,.....never to doubt it.

    It doesn't weigh much,....and the batteries never die. Even if carrying a GPS I'll still have a small compass.
