Default MA ANG F-15 Crash in Augusta Co Va.

Not sure yet how close or how far the crash site is to the trail. But hopefully the pilot is ok

I saw this a few minutes ago. Last year a group of 4 of us were somewhere south of Waynesboro I think when out of nowhere two military jets flew right over the tree tops right on top of us! It was the loudest sound I have ever heard in my life. It happened so fast I dropped my hiking poles and stuck my fingers in my ears and it still hurt! It was nuts!

Then this year I was reading a trail journal and they reported seeing the same type situation. I guess this is common around those parts?

They also do low level flights at Goshan Pass

I'm really surprised they haven't found the pilot. Don't they have some sort of tracking device on their person?
