    Default mountain weather forecsst

    For anyine fmiliar with the site mountain-forecast.com, do you know what peak i should enter to get forecast for spivey gap to allen gap?

    For the most part you can use the National Weather Service forecast for Erwin.. Close enough, and this time of year the weather temperatures hangs between "Really Good" and "Awesome" for hiking. Still a bit warm for my tastes but better than summer temps for sure.

    You could try Flint Mountain or Big Bald, as they are on (or just off) that part of the trail.

    Here on the TN side just north of Hot Springs NC, this week's forecast is for slightly above normal temps with a front coming through with some rain on Thursday and cooler temps by Saturday. Highs in the 60s for Saturday and lows near 40*. Subtract 10* or more and add some wind for the high country. I'll be out on the trail Saturday.
    Sleep on the ground, rise with the sun and hike with the wind....
