    Default GoLite sale tomorrow. 10-3-14

GoLite, also fondly referred to as "The Everything You Want Is Out of Stock Store", is having a sale tomorrow...

They usually have pretty good sale prices but... it's probably not in stock.

That's because high demand and low price doesn't make any sense unless it's out of stock.

Ya know, I might just have to turn in my hiker card. There is not one thing on the golite.com site that I need or want to buy.

    re: Nothing to buy

After a while, there is not really much else to buy once you get your kit dialed-in.

I could, theoretically, trade in my packs or shelters for lighter cuben fiber counterparts (for example), but as they are just fine now..why? Maybe when I have to replace them.

Like wise, my clothing set up is pretty good.

What I *DO* buy from GoLite when on sale is street clothes. A less expensive option to Patagonia or Royal Robbins. What can I say, I don't always want to look like I am hitting the trail.

That's hilarious and absolutely true 10k, every time I go there needing something the price is awesome and item is "not in stock". Almost EVERY time ...

+1. Always in the hiker apparel mode, hey? I sometimes find Ex Officio clothing cheaply. I'm the guy at the construction site wearing older Smartwool tees and socks, beaten up trail runners, wearing an InsectShield bandana, etc.

I like Golite's prices, but I've had quality control issues with their down vests. Anybody else have some issues?

I like GoLite quite a lot - at least 2-3 GoLite items go with me on every hike. The only thing I don't really like is how they emblazon their company name on every piece of clothing for maximum exposure/advertising. There's nothing discrete about how they do it.

BTW, everything I looked at was in stock except for the Chromedome umbrella but I already have 2... so.
