Default Where will thru-hikers be in early June?

Hey there! wondering where most people think they might be in June?

    Thank!

Most will be back home after quitting. With a mid-March start, figuring a 5 - 6 month pace, many NOBOS will be in PA through NY, some as far as VT, etc. based upon start date and pace.

All up and down the trail, but mostly in the middle sections.

This table shows when the middle of the completing NOBO pack passes certain landmarks (in early June Harpers Ferry looks like the center point). In early June the middle of the SOBO pack hasn't started yet -- that doesn't happen until late June.

MEDIAN DAY ~~ MEAN DAY ~~~ LANDMARK
    March 17............March 20...........Springer
    March 25............March 28...........Georgia Border
    April 1................April 5...............Fontana
    April 28..............April 29..............Damascus
    May 29..............May 28..............Waynesboro
    June 9...............June 8...............Harpers Ferry
    June 29.............June 27..............DWG
    July 12..............July 10...............Kent
    Aug. 5...............Aug. 2...............Glencliff
    Aug. 15.............Aug. 12..............Gorham
    Aug. 26.............Aug. 22..............Stratton
    Sept. 9..............Sept. 4..............Katahdin!

I started on April 1st this year and on June 1st I was in Pearisburg, VA. For reference I finished on October 10th and took 20 zeroes (defined as less than 1 mile of trail walking.)

I started April 4th and on June 1st I was in Duncannon, PA. Following YellowBeard's lead, (hey man! long time no see! congrats on finishing!), for reference, I finished July 26th and took 5 zeros.

In Vermont we have very few AT thruhikers in early June, picks up by mid month and then we are wall-to-wall thruhikers in July and August.
