i put my puffy pants and jacket on to get the paper this morning, dead battery in the car, kept sticking my hands in ice cold buckets of water for work, only to wish i was on trail in this cold weather instead of working

Well we can agree on that
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

Interesting the process of pooping on a paper towel inside your tent and letting it freeze, then disposing of it.

Be careful of how you breath, so as not to pull in too much freezing air that can hurt you.

Last night was a wakeup call for cold weather camping. learned a LOT but will definitely sleep inside tonight.
Wierd, my iPhone did the same thing on my run. Seem like Apple would have a "Too Cold" error message.

What was your setup last night? And did you stay toasty?

It was so cold negative 8 in Lee Massachusetts that we had to wait till it got to 10 degrees 11.00 AM to park at Route 20 and hike in to Goose Pond for a day hike. Beautiful and exhilerating didnt do it justice!!!

I live (normally) in a vintage camper but it's been so cold that I've been staying at my mother's vacant house (she's a truck driver). I put their Christmas decorations away for them and did the dishes she forgot to do before they left.
20% cooler in 10 seconds flat!
