Default BA Fly Creek UL2 stakes - why 11?

BigAgnes users, the tent comes with 11 stakes, but all I can see a need for is maybe the 5 holding it down, then 2 on the front vestibule, and maybe 2 on the sides/fly.

Why do they give you 11?

i sold my UL2 but i remember using all 11 of them...

there are 2 on the fly to stake it out away from the tent....

one in the middle of the back...

two on the sides to pull them out......

(this is going on memory so trying to figure them all out)

ok----here's how to get to 11....

    one---back corner left
    two---back corner right
    three---back in the middle
    four---front right
    five----front left
six---middle with fly and body clipped together right side
seven--middle with fly and body clipped together left side
eight--front of fly right side to ground near door
nine---front of fly left side to ground near door
ten----top of fly right side to ground
eleven---top of fly left side to ground...

here's a picture but it does not include stake placement but if you use my numbers, it can be figured out....

Awesome thanks! I never staked out both the bottom of the sides and the fly/body line separately, but it makes perfect sense now.

    yeah....

it really helps out in bad weather and what not....

and to pull the sides away...

i sold mine because i really didnt like the front entry and i always had the sides sag in for me......which made the 2 more like a 1 person...

other than that----it was great in the storms i was in and its nice and light....

I'm pretty fond of it too, for 1 person it's great. I've only ever done front entry tents so its natural for me. Thanks again, this makes sense. Now to swap those 11 stakes for titanium ones

I found staking unnecessary unless there was a wind.
