Thread: Class Resources

    Post Class Resources

    Class,

Threw together a *small*, but burgeoning set of resources I plan on using for my trip. Mainly a few KMZ files and an iOS app or two, but as I get more information I'll continue to update for the community.

Posted to a personal website for ease of my own use - no advertisements or tracking, merely a means for me to keep track of all the resources I'm gathering.

Specifically, there's a resource for us veterans out there, a KMZ of VA hospitals, clinics and community centers close to the trail, just in case.

Thanks Derf; I'm a bit on the tech savvy side so my resources will be a bit more skewed than the typical "map and compass" that most people prefer nowadays. I'm a veteran, USMC Infantry, so while I expect the trail to be *difficult*, I'm doing my best to, as they say, hike my own hike.

That pre-deployment exercise looks like just the thing. Thanks for sharing. I've gotta make on of those sandbags.

I'm not going to lie Havana, it is one hell of a program. If you have any need to prepare your body for hours on end of load bearing activity, *that program will do it*.

Oddly enough, I never used it before going overseas, only to prepare for some tough military training courses. Overseas is typically less physically demanding than the types of courses I'm referring to.

Of course, at age 51 coming off knee surgery I may start with a 40 pound bag. But that looks awesome for core strength.
