Still here. Life stuff has had me doing mostly local hikes, but hopefully will get another section or two in on the Florida Trail before the weather gets too hot.

I will be there soon. Moving to Cocoa Beach in about a month. No hiking on FT so far, but I see it in my future.

My hiking partner Lucky and I are hiking the northern half of the trail this year, three hundred and some miles in at this point, a couple of weeks at most left to go.

Miami Beach. I've never done any of the FT. Whenever I would go to the northern part of the state or out into the panhandle, it was always for cave diving. After that, I was always with my dog, and I had too many concerns about alligators. Now that I am retired from cave diving, and since my dog can no longer do hikes, I can start to think about it.

I've been doing 10-12 mile day hikes in ONF the last few weeks in training for my AT section hike (Springer to HF) beginning in April. Have been hiking out of Juniper Springs area. Got bit by my first fire ant last week.....not fun....
Anyway, once I get the AT done over the next 2 years, I might try and do a thru of the FT a few years down the road.

I have been hiking sections of the FT. I have about 400 miles left to do up in the panhandle. Heading to FL for the winter mid-December. I hop to attend the kick-of at the Oasis Station.

I am section hiking the FT in the Panhandle then will start working my way south. Just moved to Baldwin County AL last year--part of Old Florida--that qualifies, right?

When's the kickoff? A quick search didn't turn up kickoff details for 2016.
