    The following announcement about a lost dog on the AT was posted on Facebook:

    I was hiking this weekend on the AT and lost my dog near Lemon Gap on the TN/NC border. If you live near the area or know anyone who frequents this section please share this information.

    I'm not sure what will come up on Facebook if you're not a member so here is the essential: The dog is a female Lab/Weimaraner/Hound mix. Her name is Birdie. If you have any information please call Jordan Lassiter at 919-332-8439
