Default Can you replace the hip belt?

I still have my first backpack - an external frame backpack I bought in 1974 (at Sears, lol). I'd like to use it for old time's sake, but the hip belt is shot. Is there a way to replace the hip belt or somewhere I can take it to have it replaced? Otherwise, it's in great shape.

Kelty will supply hipbelts for their old frames. Although it appears as if their frames have not changed much over the years.

I replaced my hipbelt and shoulder straps with Mil-surplus "MOLLE II" parts for $25. There is some pics in the DIY forum.
