Default NoBo from GA leaving between March 12-22, 2015

    Hey guys!
Looking for some other people that are leaving around the same time frame as I am. I was going to leave earlier, but I'm not too keen on the weather. Anyone else headed Northbound between March 12-22 this year?

I'm an experienced hiker that has section hiked the PCT, section hiked the CDT, and thru-hiked the John Muir trail.
You can be as green as grass, or as experienced as ever. Doesn't matter to me, just looking to make friends!

    I'm headed out solo.

    Cheers!

I understand you will have no problem meeting folks on the trail. Many start their hike during the stated time period and you should be able to find someone who will hike the same speed as you. I have only section hiked the GA section , but have never had a problem meeting folks. That is what I love about the AT.

I'll be leaving during this timeframe from NC and heading to AFSP for a NOBO thru. Gonna be a rough first few weeks for me, got laid off last week and just decided a few days ago to do the trail. Needless to say, I haven't been training much. I'll get in touch with you closer to when I leave and see when you're heading down.

I am flying in to Georgia on March 6th and will arrive at 5:45 PM. I hope to make it to the approach trail on the 7th and then stay at the beginning of the trail and head out of the 8th. I am leaving solo so if this dates works for any of you and you would like to start together, you know where I will be. Liberty

I'll keep watch of this thread. Planning to shove off early March also. In the planning stages now, but have March-Sept blocked off.

Why? This thread was for LAST March, not next March. In any event, there will be no lack of people heading out in March of next year. Maybe too many.
