Sticky rubber trail runner with a wide toe box

Hi all,

Looking for a sticky rubber trail runner with a wide toe box for hiking. I used to have a pair of wide width Vasque Catalysts, which had Five Ten's Stealth rubber soles. They were phenomenal, but alas, they are no longer made.

You suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I wear the Altra Lone Peak trail runners. Widest, most comfortable toe box you will ever see. These are 'zero lift' shoes, so they may not be for you.

Alas, it is hard to find everything you want in a single shoe and I would rate the traction on wet rock to be average at best. The tread looks aggressive enough, but I think it was designed with loose gravel in mind, not slick rock. For sticky rubber I liked some of the Inov8 trail shoes better, but I cannot give up the Lone Peaks toe box.

Altra lone peak. Most natural toe box and snug in the heel. Good sole and zero drop heel. The zero drop is of co Vern to some but really is not bad.

Keen stuff has large toe boxes as well. I wear a 13 EEEE (as if you can actually find something that wide). Keen shoes and Teva sandals are all I wear.

Agree. I wore out a pair of Vasque and, like the OP, couldn't replace with the same product. I was pleased to find a Keen shoe that didn't cramp my toes together.

I bought the Inov8 Roclite 295 last year for the wide toe box and love them.

What is a zero lift shoe?

It's zEro drop. It simulates barefoot by having no heel elevation. Many running shoes have these in their line up and most higher end running shoes always list the heel to toe offset in mm.
