    Default FS - Tarptent Notch

    **SOLD** $215 Shipped CONUS **SOLD**

Purchased in May 2014. Fully seam sealed by myself. Re-doing it couldn't hurt, but I've yet had no problems with leaking. Comes with 4 stakes, guylines w/ linelocks, tent poles, stuff sack.

This was my main tent until around October, when I injured my knee and ended up switching to a tarp. It was regularly used during that time for both backcountry and frontcountry camping, but was lovingly cared for. Was wiped down every morning on every trip, and washed and wiped down after returning from every trip.

The only flaw would be a small hole in the mesh, which I repaired with some medical tape. I overdid it...you could certainly remove the tape and repair it differently. There is also some scrunching in the mesh which is typical of mesh but functionally fine.

I am really uneasy about selling this thing because I really love it, but the fact is I can't really see myself choosing it over my tarp. It's been a backup tarp since October, never being used. Extra money for the AT this year will be more valuable for me at the moment...

The patch (as pictured) is on the right side of the enclosure when it is near your head, and on the left side when near your feet. I hope that makes sense. Another way to think bout it is that it's not on the "door" part of the enclosure. The tape I put on it is literally from the last time I used the tent while in the field. It was not an attempt at actually repairing the small hole. If I were attempting to repair it more permanently, I would take a small strip of mesh and cover the hole with it using super glue to attach it. The tape is more than fine if you don't mind looking at it tho.

Wanted to also note that I am a paid member of backpackinglight.com with around 590 posts and probably around 20 gear swap transactions in the $40-300 range. My username on the site is the same as it is here. Will provide references upon request, as well as any additional pictures of the item listed.
