How to get from Asheville, NC Airport to Davenport Gap?

Years ago I walked from Springer mountain to the far side of the Smoky mountains and I want to get back to where I left off-Davenport Gap, as I vaguely recall- and start walking NOBO once more. I can fly to Asheville airport but how might I get from there to wherever the AT crosses out of the Smokeys?
