I see that the GoLite Rush 14 Hydration Pack is on closeout and it has belt pouches but a review say they are really small. My new Panasonic Lumix LX100 is 4"x2.5"x2.5" Any idea's for a day pack from 14oz o 20oz with large water proof belt pouches?

Not to get off track, but I carry my camera in a small waist pack that I got at WalMart. That way I have my camera (and wallet, and other small stuff) when I put down my pack. This works on both day hikes and long hikes.
What do you think of the LX100?
I use a soft pouch for my DSLR from this company.

I hike with it attached to the front of my pack with these.

If it is raining, it goes in one of these and in my pack.

I use a small case for my small digital camera, one that is designed to attach to a belt with velcro fastened straps. I modified my packs with a rib across the left pack strap so I can hang the camera on it right in front of me. The case itself isn't water tight, but a small shower cap works well to cover it (or just pull it off and stick it in the pack). For my large DSLR camera, I got an REI fanny pack and attach it to my pack that allows me to reach it with my left hand easily to pull it out and return it. My pack covers all fit over this.
Not sure that will help, but may get you thinking about what you already may have around the house you can use.
