    Default Knock off?

I saw this on ebay. Since it's in Australia, it raises an eyebrow as to whether it's a replica for that price. Thoughts?

I don't think it is a knock-off. The seller has a reasonable feedback rating, and he specifically calls it a "Seat To Summit Specialist SOLO". So if it is a knock-off, that would make him a lair and open him up to some much deserved negative feed-back.

However, at least looking at the auction on my smart phone, no where in the auction do I see anything that it is a brand-new tent... just that he has more than 10.
I can also say that I think I saw these at clearance prices (though I don't know what they were) sometime after Christmas.
So it's possible the seller bought up a bunch of 2nd hand tents or picked a bunch up at a clearance.

But I must say $279 is sort of in that 'too good to be true' category given that a quick Google of the produce show most sellers are selling this tent at the MSRP of $429, with the lowest price I could find was $363.56. Yet this seller is trying to sell them at almost another $100 below that?

At the very least, I think I would wait a while to make sure it isn't a hijacked account... perhaps even contact the seller.

Occasionally people sell stuff at a loss to get rid of something but I would be wary of that volume available for sale at that price.

    From the eBay listing:
    "Condition New"
So, this tent worth having at that price?

    It's legit. Go to www.wildearth.com.au
I've bought heaps of gear from them, through their website or through their eBay store, they're also a retail store.

Does anyone who's used this tent have an opinion on it compared to say a tarptent notch?
