Looking for Katahdin companion

I'm a 60-y.o. novice, thinking I want to thru-hike in spring 2017, (starting on my 62nd birthday). This summer, I want to do a 5 to 7 day hike., either in the Whites or on the long trail. But I'd also like to hike Katahdin, if I can find someone to meet up with. I'm from central CT. Anyone wlling to consider letting me join you on a summit of Katahdin? (I'm available most of July and August.)

If you show up in Baxter and hike up Katahdin in those two months you will have plenty of companions. I would suggest some prep work before you jump into this hike. It can be pretty challenging.
