The last read I have from the tracker is 6:29, so, a little less than 22 hours left and, I am guesstimating about 35 miles?

Looks like it. Taking a quick look, I put him at 35-36 miles from tagging the sign. Then again, he might be trekking along. Hard to tell with the sporadic updates from the InReach.

He's on the other side of Crescent Pond at 7:47pm.... His InReach draws a line straight across the pond, but I don't think he blue-blazed!

Good grief. I turn my back and Y'all fill up 10 pages.
Way past 2,1whatever posts. Rocketsocks taught Y'all well.
All the best to Scott & Crew. Looks like he will most likely eke out a * NOBO Slightly Faster Known Time.

can he really go another 21 hours with no sleep?? that would make about 58 hours with at lease nothing more than a 30 minute or so sleep that is indiscernible from the tracker. looks like he'll have about 33 miles left with 21 hours to go that's 16.5 hours of hiking at 2mph which leaves him with a 4.5 hour cushion ( and that's not accounting for a slow down up big k. still a close one!!

He won't need to go 21 hours without sleep. He's making good time and this section of trail will allow for it. I do hope he slows down on the boardwalks after Hurd Brook. He can take a nice nap at Abol Bridge and still have plenty of time to make the sign tomorrow.

I don't think he needs to either, but he has seemed pretty averse to sleeping these last few days. I wonder if the lack of sleep may be negatively impacting his pace to the point where he would end up finishing faster if he took 3 hours to sleep then get back on the trail and finish strong.

    A fine point.

However, I am also banking on the fact that media will want to be present and his crew won't be able to get into the park until the gates open in the morning.
