For those who want to see a yellow tent on Roan Mt I offer this pic taken from a trip in 1990 with my friend Lindal Newbius. The tent is a North Face Westwind and I didn't even get the front pole in all the sleeves being that I'm a motard idiot. Until we see the real thing this will have to suffice.

I paid $300 for mine in 1989 and I think they are still available new in England.

FWIW, the last time I went through Carver's Gap in 2012 there was a USFS sign that said Camping on Round Bald is now prohibited.
