Default All Good Things Must End

I would like to thank all of my customers and friends that I have met through the years in which stayed with us at The Sapphire Inn . It was the home of the April Hiker Fool Bash for 12 years. With many memories of Appalachian Trail Hikers that we grew to know since 2003 - I just sold the Motel this morning. I do still have the Budget Inn of Franklin, NC and Hiawassee, Ga. Also we will have The Penny Pincher Hostel in Franklin, NC which has laundry, computer printer for Smokey Permits, and next season we will have an outfitter. Thanks again for all who have stayed with us.

Congratulations Ron on the sale. You're support of us hikers over the many years is legendary and appreciated.

Never stayed at the Sapphire, but have stayed at the Budget Inn, and at the Hiawassee Inn (before you bought it) , both were welcome and memorable experiences.

Thanks to You and your family.

    Friends,
thanks for your post. No, my hostel isn't near WSG, it is in town but I do run a couple of free shuttles there and back daily for our guest. Jeff and Lyle, hikers in our town deserve to be welcomed. I am glad for everyone who came by. Singto, stop in soon. Dogwood, check us out.

Hey Ron, thanks for being such a great resource for hikers passing through the area.

I know you make your living by doing so, and having stayed at both your Budget Inns I felt that we received great value for the services you provide. The shuttle rides are a fantastic service that really do make a huge difference in favor of using the towns as stopover points.

Whenever it eventually comes time for you to retire from what you're doing I sure hope that you spend several years apprenticing your replacement first. Cause those are some big shoes that will need filling.

Ahh the Sapphire Inn. I have fond memories of staying there in 2011 (and both Budget Inns if I recall correctly). Congratulations on the sale.
