Yes, there is still snow at least on the highest CT Segment (22 in the San Juan Mountains). There are roughly 10 snow fields between 22-10.0 to 22-15.0. If you get creative and don't mind extra distance, you can avoid all but one of the snow fields. Pics include the CT High Point post at 13,271 (which I am working on in the pic) and from inside the yurt just NE of 22-8.7 where I spent a wonderful evening watching the t-storms. Ron

Its a long story, but I had to use a backpack that was as old as the mountains. It worked as I had to play Sherpa during the trip. Metal frame, heavy, bulky, awkward, and not very comfortable. The pack is only to be used in emergencies. Ron
