sight problems
why do I have so much trouble typing on this site? cursor blinks and letters aren't appearing.

Have you tried a different browser? It's working fine on Google Chrome.

I'm having the same trouble, I have to proofread everything I type here for missing letters. Using Internet Explorer.
Me too sometimes with IE. Try clicking the reply button TWICE and get a large reply box - that seems to sometimes work better (that's where I'm typing this).
Alternatively, open a Word or similar, type there then cut/paste.
