    Default Water locations NC

I'll be solo hiking some of the NC section (7 days give or take) starting around August 7. Aside from daily drinking requirements I'll need water for cooking and I'm trying to plan how much I should carry in different locations. Is there an updated map of water locales anywhere?

Thanks in advance for the info & advice!

ask about your specific route. There are sections in NC where springs often dry up in summer.

I carry one or two liters on board (2 if I know I have 4+ dry miles). I use The AT Guide as a resource and carry the pages I need for my section. Around July 4 water was plentiful, but we were hiking in a deluge of rain. Should be fine now as long as you use some sort of guide and plan accordingly. Sent you a PM about your other post.
