Default Adventures of a Trail Stooge: Part journal, part memoir

I just self published my book about my thru-hike of the AT in 2013. The e-book is available from Amazon here. The paperback version will be available in a week or two.

I don't think I've ever posted on here before, but as I was prepping for my thru-hike, I creeped and scoured this site for lots of great info. So thank you everybody for keeping this community vibrant, helpful, and caring. It's awesome! Have fun everybody!

Just finishing up the eBook. Enjoyable read! My only complaint is how you constantly characterize people far younger than me as "old guys".

Hahaha! Sorry Smokestack! I tend to do that sometimes. Although I normally try to soften the blow by adding -er at the end: older guys, not just old guys. Thanks for reading. Glad you enjoyed it!

LOL I just finished reading it today as well. You are definitely an optimistic person, and seemed to like almost everyone you met.

I definitely try to be. Sometimes it's a struggle, but that'll happen. Pessimism never seems to help me out much anyway.

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed it!

The kids I meet on the trail are so nice to me, that I forgive them for telling me things like, "I think it's wonderful that you're still out here at your age!"
I always know where I am. I'm right here.

I just finished it last week. I enjoyed it very much. You are a fast hiker and managed to start late, take 3-4 weeks off and still finish before October 15th. My hat's off to you.

For any of you guys who have read it so far, I could use some reviews on Amazon. If you don't mind, scroll down to "Customer Reviews" and let me know what you think!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'll have the paperback out by Wednesday, hopefully... It's been a learning experience formatting and self publishing. So for those who are interested in a physical copy, I'll let you know when it's ready. Thanks again!

The paperback is finally available! It's available from Amazon here! Thank you to everyone who has read the e-book already and shared their kind words and their reviews with me and on Amazon. I appreciate it a ton! Enjoy! And please feel free to share with others, talk about it, write a review if you'd like.
