    Those are pretty. Link please.

FWIW, I enjoyed the OP's post. If I had tools and time to play with them, I'd come up with all sorts of crazy backpacking mods.
If he sold his toothbrushes, I would probably buy one. Heck, I shelled out $20 for the Deuce of Spades and I've never even used it once, since.
you left to walk the appalachian trail
you can feel your heart as smooth as a snail
    the mountains your darlings
but better to love than have something to scale

Almost $9; shipping weight is listed as 3 1/2 ounces. No idea what it actually weighs.

For short trips I find those plastic floss picks with good picks work very well at keeping between the teeth and gum line clean. That's where most of the buildup is anyways. In fact I think scraping along the gum line and flossing in between may be more critical for general dental care than brushing.

I use a folding travel toothbrush similar to the link below. I like that it keeps the head protected and is convenient to store without a separate case when not in use, and is convenient to open and use. perhaps I should drill a few holes to lighten it up.

I have a stack of broken arrows that have been looking for a project, my best friend and hiking buddy is a dentist. I'll have an 'arrowbrush' by tomorrow night!

He made fun of my weight shaving efforts last year for months right up until we got about a 1/2 mile down the trail with his 70lb pack, bear fence and all! Lol

I like my fishing rod handled fly swatter and I'm gonna love my carbon fiber arrowbrush!

This all seems a bit overboard to me.
