Default Hiker, 44, dies in fall at Annapolis Rock on Appalachian Trail - The Baltimore Sun

    Very sad news. :-(

"A 44-year-old hiker was killed in a fall while taking pictures at Annapolis Rock on the Appalachian Trail Sunday, authorities said. The man was a United Kingdom native who has not yet been identified as police work to notify his family."

Sad to hear! I just hiked there about 2 weeks ago... And my boyfriend (who has excellent balance) always gives me a hard time because I don't feel comfortable climbing/jumping around the rocks the way he does (I have balance issues on flat ground)... Definitely will be thinking of his family tonight.

Yes, very sad. We were just there labor day weekend with our daughter and boyfriend. A great overlook. Lots of people there that weekend enjoying the view. if you lost your balance I could see how this could happen.
