Anyone camped at Wine Spring Rd area in NC?

Planning another section hike (Winding Stair Gap to Nantahala Outdoor Center) and thinking about camping at the Wine Spring Road area the first night. What is it like there? Good campsites? Water?

The Wine Spring I remember on the AT had a reliable water source (hence the name) and spots for tents. I remember crossing the forest service road that accesses Wayah Bald, then hiking maybe a quarter to a half a mile along the AT (going north) before reaching the Wine Spring spot.
