    Default Eastbound Starting Dec. 12?

I'm a speed hiker thinking about trying to hike/bike the trail in a month or less. Any idea about starting east around Dec 12? How many miles of the trail are considered "bikeable"?

If you are already on trail, be careful heavy rains have flooded trail and made mountain creeks/rivers and Piedmont lakes/rivers have made crossings awkward to impassable.

PJ Wetzel just accomplished a major section hiking to and biking back self support hike. You will have the most biking potential from Hanging Rock SP to Eno SP, then Falls Lake to the Croatan and up the Outer Banks; navigating greenways and backroads.
