    Default FT Trail Hike

    I'm planning a December 2015 hike from
Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park
    to Alapha Bridge.

    Schedules below:

Start at Stephen Foster Cultural Center

Hike to swift Creek/Roosters (resupply/water)(627.0/474.8)7 miles (tent spaces $5., restrooms, showers) No food

Dec 30 Hike to Suwannee Springs Live Oak (639 1/462.7)12 miles (showers & camping)

Dec 31. Hike to Holton Creek River Camp (water)(648.7/453.1)9.6miles
Campsite has screened in shelters (must reserve)

Jan 1 Hike to Alapaha River Highway Bridge parking fpr pick-up (654.9/ 446.9)6 miles

Call Suwannee Outpost for pickup and drive to Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center Park

Anybody have any updates on water conditions? Trail Conditions or any other advice/suggestions greatly appreciated.

We have a late start the first day with 2 hours of driving. Winter days are short and dark at 5:30 pm. Hiking from camp/water to next camp/water. We spend a lot of time taking pictures. Wandering on side trails and pretty much goofing off. We check out animal markings on the trail and get caught up in the moment.
