Default May hike a small flip flop!!!

Thinking of doing a mini flip flop the first week of May. 2 days doing WV to Harpers Ferry then a shuttle to Pa and hike back to Harpers Ferry. Any opinions if this is a good hike and right time of year to knock out two small states! Thanks for the information. Hike On!!!!

    Miller,

This is an excellent time to be hiking this area. Most years the weather is very good. Some years (like last year) it was quite warm, some years it's chilly, and can't guarantee it won't rain, but the chance of good weather is about as high as any time of year. Hiker traffic is light.

Perhaps you have transportation available for one or both ends. If not, your way could require two shuttles instead of one.

Is New York City to Harpers Ferry a possibility? Much better transportation options.

It's fine but it is also thru hiker season, so lots around. Plus Flip Flop season so you will be in good company.
