Truly awesome. It reminds me of a shuttler I rode with in Daleville the week after Christmas this year named Homer. He thru hiked with his (then) 11 and 8 year old kids in 2002. He then went on to tell me his daughter got married on McAfee Knob recently. Highly recommend him if a shuttle is needed in that area. Here is an old article.

The person that got the best gift was the father. Getting to spend that much time with his children in an environment like that could be the best memories of his life.

So very cool! I remember taking my 9 & 11 year old sons on a week long A.T. hike. If only we could have continued each year. Now that they are 17 and 19, I so miss those moments!

My son enjoyed his first backpacking overnight on the A.T. with us last year and both kids like to hike with us so I am dreaming of them both coming with me for a long section or thru after they graduate college! great video can't wait to show it to them

This is an amazing video. These kids will remember this the rest of their lives and while most other kids had stories of summer vacation spent in front of the TV they were on a grand adventure.

What a great video. My son and I started section hiking when he was 10. My daughter has hiked with us a couple of those years so far. It has been the most rewarding experience in my life. I hope to get my daughter hiking with us more often, maybe this video will inspire her. Hopefully they will always look back on these hikes and smile. I know I will.
