    Default Anyone have trail patches?

I was cleaning out an old closet and found my old Boy Scout patches. This was from summer camp my last year in scouts in 1974. It was also my introduction to section hiking beyond just a weekend hike. If memory serves me correct we were out two weeks. Good memoriesimage.jpg

All I have is a Georgia 80 Miler patch for completing that section.

I was going to get the ultimate patch. Or should I say permanent patch, when I finished my thru last year. But I didn't finish, so the 2015 AT logo tattoo on my leg will have to wait. At least until it reads 20?? for my 2nd (and hopefully successful) attempt. Lol

I have a couple trail patches worth sharing---

This one comes from a nasty sawbriar on the South Fork Citico trail in 2009.

This abraded beauty came from postholing in deep snow for several hours while wearing shorts with bare legs and getting Snow Burn on my right calf---much like road rash from a bicycle wreck. Who knew? Winter tip: Do not hike in deep snow wearing shorts.

I have a third place ribbon for the Pinewood Derby, does that count?

Third place ribbon for my Strong Golden Belgian Ale. Only connection to hiking is it tastes good when I get back.
