    Default March Start Clothing List

    What should I tweak?

    2 Darn Tough Hiking Socks
1 Darn Tough Thick (Camp) socks
    2 exofficio underwear
1 Pair Smart Wool mid weight thermals
    1 Pair Terramar lightweight thermals
    1 Short sleeve synthetic shirt
    1 Long sleeve synthetic shirt
    1 Running Shorts
    1 REI Sahara convertibles
    1 North Face Thermoball Jacket
    1 Carhartt Acrylic beanie
1 pair smart wool liner gloves
1 buff (undecided if I should go wool or synthetic)

I may ditch some of the extra in later months.

I am starting on April 5th and your list is almost a carbon copy of mine.

My lightweight thermals are silk and I may leaves these off the list. My "heavy" thermal bottoms are not merino wool but top is.

i have a light weight Columbia fleece... Did not see something like this on your list.

You may consider using same thickness sox for all 3 pairs. I originally was going to have a think pair for camp and then realized better to have standard in case the camp sox had to be called into action? Just a thought.

That's about what I would take, except I take a merino balaclava instead of an acrylic beanie.
Are your thermals merino wool? Wonderful stuff. No itch, no stink.
I've taken to synthetic compression shorts rather than the ExOff shorts, which tended to bunch up and sometimes cause chaffing (although ExOff is a good brand for shorts, pants, and shirts).

I personally have a similar list for my March start, but I have a lightweight rainshell and a down hoody, and a primaloft insulated jacket. Snow chances are high.

Looks pretty good and will certainly work well. Any input is from my perspective and preferences.

I assume you have rain gear. I would take jacket, pants, and mitten shells.

For me the only differences would be between:

    Your list

1 Pair Smart Wool mid weight thermals
    1 Pair Terramar lightweight thermals
    1 Short sleeve synthetic shirt
    1 Long sleeve synthetic shirt
    1 Running Shorts
    1 REI Sahara convertibles

    My list

    merino t-shirt
convertible pants or running shorts and light wind pants
    light fleece hoodie
merino mid weight bottoms and light weight top (camp/sleep)
