    Default Caratunk Maine Hiker B&B reopening

    The Caratunk House in Maine is reopening after many years. Run by One Braid(Paul Fuller) a long time hiker. It will be a full service B&B. Resupply, mail drop, Breakfast, laundry, etc. Rooms start at $20.00. I'm 100 yards from the trail. I will be open May 20th.     One Braid, will you have a website (I searched, but didn't find one), and will you offer shuttles?

    Yes I will have shuttle service to most places in Maine. I will have a website soon. Just got the permit to open this week. Thanks for asking. Old Braid

    If you read the first post, he says 100 yards. Can't get much closer. I imagine it's pretty easy to spot.

    If your going North, you just cross the street and go straight ahead and if your going South you turn a hard left up the street. You can see the big house on the right. There is a sign "Caratunk House. e mail me if you like....... [email protected]

    I believe I'm right in saying this is the same "Paul" that used to run the Caratunk House. In 2003 one of our best stays on the trail. Still remember the cheeseburger and milkshake. Wonderful breakfast also.

    YES! Ended a section hike from Rangeley there last September. What a great place and great burger and shake!!!

    Will be back this September Labor Day weekend to continue north to Katahdin.
