    Default Safety on the A.T

Hey guys and gals! Attached is a link to an article regarding safety on the A.T. written by a solo female 2015 thru-hiker. May be a good read to give you (and your family) peace of mind before you hike on. Happy, safe trails!

Very interesting. I'm more afraid of snakes than people. .there are a few weirdos on the trail. I know a guitar picker who uses the trail to travel back and forth. I usually hike with my 11 year old girl, so info like the article above is a good one for her.

As far as safety on the AT, there is definitive proof that driving in Florida is much more dangerous than hiking on the AT:

Hmmm? I know we musicians can be considered weirdos but if that guy uses the AT to travel back and forth to his gigs, he must either: 1. Have all his gigs in the same geographic area or 2. Not have many gigs.
