I met him a couple of years ago at ALDHA west and he is a super guy. You wouldn't guess by the looks of him but I believe he either set or had a run art the PCT record back in the mid 2000s.

He did in fact set it with Williamson around 2009 I believe.

I can't figure out how to finance becoming a triple-crown let alone dream of a double. Come on, Powerball!

I spotted him in the Calf Mtn. Shelter in southern Shenandoah last Monday, 4/4/16. He had just finished a 38 mile day, starting at the base of The Priest.

It was 2008. I met both Joe and Scott Williamson at a trail angel's in OR at the Heitman's. They had just walked through a section closed due to one of the many forest fires.

TJ is now 3-4 days from finishing the AT for the second time. I have been following him on FB, and it seems as though he started this journey in a bad state of mind, but is now very healthy mentally, and physically. What an adventure, he started march 2nd I believe.

Seriously. I'm sure his speed cuts down on the costs and the time away from whatever responsibilities he may have. However, I don't imagine a double-triple crowner having too many responsibilities in life outside of hiking.

TatuJoe finished the AT last Friday. By Monday he was in New Mexico heading Nobo on the CDT. He has over 10,000 miles planned for 2016. I don't know what his finance situation is, but most "professional" hikers just work their butt off while not hiking, live a simple life and return, do not need many frills or expenses while hiking. Its hard to spend very much money when your leisure days are 20 miles, and your long days are 30-35. I just can fathom walking that consistently, I don't think I could do it physically, or mentally. I walked 2 16's, a 20 and an 8 mile trip last weekend, and as I type this, my feet still hurt lol

I haven't seen his plan but he likely has the time and ability to finish the PCT and CDT this year. I suspect there could be three Calendar Year triple crowners this year, Legend, TJ and a third hiker on the PCT that may or may not publicly declared that as a goal. Amazing that the number of people accomplishing this could double in one year.

Speedstick also finished the AT not long after Legend and is making good time on the CDT.

Except she skipped many sections of the AT. I will give her credit for a very long hike, but not a CYTC.

Ah, that makes sense. I didn't realize she had skipped much of the AT, but I also hadn't been following her entire hike.
