Relax and regret nothing on your AT Thru-hike!

Great article here to read before you thru-hike after surveying former thru-hikers on things they regret about their journey. Biggest regrets are centered around not taking time to enjoy the journey. So relax, leave deadlines behind, and take it easy. The journey is the joy, the destination is nothing more than an end. Cheers!

I agree with the point of taking lots of photos and videos, although the AT is not a super scenic trail there are plenty of cool photo ops. Also take pictures of camp, your tent, yourself in your tent, food prep, what your eating, people you meet, shelters you stayed, all the little things that don't mean so much while your on the trail but mean everything years later when you look back on your adventure. I had taken over 4 hours of video on my thru hike, most of it is shaky cam walking self interview stuff that I forced myself to do because I knew it would be great to look at in the following year. It's now 2 years since I started my AT journey and still no youtube video :-(...maybe this week I will finish the darn thing!

Life is all around. Scenery, something to experience, is always on the doorstep, in plain sight....IF one will be open to it.
