Lots of shuttle services available in the area. But since you're thru hikers you must think someone will give you a free ride.Seems like in the last few years many thru hikers expect things just because they are "thru hikers". I expect thru hikers to pack out their trash but many still leave their trash and all kinds of gear and nasty clothing behind at shelters and campsites.
Sleep on the ground, rise with the sun and hike with the wind....
To The Cleaner: we're not thru hikers nor do we expect anything free during our open adventure. I would happily pay a reasonable price for a lift to our next stop. Unfortunately we do not know as much about the area because we have never been to this side of the country. If you know of a shuttle service please let me know as i have been searching all morning and asking people around if they might know of somewhere to lead me. And i completely agree with you about packing out trash. I have hiked many places and i find it disgraceful whenever i see plastic and broken glass across this beautiful land.
To Gambit: please make a reasonable offer or just stay out the conversation.
