Default Blood mountain with a Chihuahua

Needless to say, I hiked blood mountain at 3am in the dark with my Chihuahua. .it was daylight when we reached the top. I used no leash on the way up. Perfect hiking partner, didn't complain not once. I came down around ten am using a leash because I knew tourists would be coming up. She acted fine around strangers on the mountain, but hates strangers at home. They naturally follow the trail. She ain't never been nowhere before and all of a sudden, we going up a steep hill. .don't let blood mountain fool anyone, since its a tourist trap, doesn't mean it's easy. I would post pics but I only have one or two. .you just quit taking them after a while

Watch out from above...I work with raptors and a great horned or barrel owl COULD snatch the pup. I'm assuming it very small. Couldn't really tell from photo...glad y'all had fun...I hike with my jrt all the time, great companions....

that's cool, I can imagine those lil legs scampin' up Blood. It amazes me how dogs appear to defy gravity sometimes heading up. At least defying it more than me

As salty says, be careful of what flies above. Last weekend a hawk tried to snatch a Chihuahua from a 16th floor balcony in NYC. Of course, being on the 16th floor, the hawk may have thought home delivery would be a nice break from take-out.
