Default I would loose my arse if it wasnt attached to my rear end...

Was a quite frequent saying my father always told me growing up, which has turned into fruition. I used to loose EVERYTHING, and still do

I guess the only things that come to mind I have either lost or forgot to bring on the trail are..

Well 2 trips ago I drove 30 miles down i40 before I remembered my hiking shoes were still in the garage..

Lost my tent at a creek crossing in Big south fork one time.. walked 2 miles back to retrieve it.(It was still dry)

Of course my eating utensil a time or 20...I always bring a set of chopsticks, thus when someone says "shucks I forgot my spork" I say.."I got ya"

Once as a kid we were driving up to a neighbor's cabin in Maine to family camp for two weeks, Just my parents, us three kids and the family dog. Somewhere around New Hampshire we realized that the keys to the cabin padlocks were still at our house on Connecticut. That was the day that my Dad taught me how easy it was to destroy a master lock with the hammer and chisel that he kept in his toolbox.
    Colorless green ideas sleep furiously.

Several years ago I had breakfast in Damascus with "Swift". Of course I thought that he was a rapid hiker but no. It stood for "Sxxx, what'd I forget today."

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be obtuse. I was just coming at it from a different angle.

Recently forgot my qiwiz Ti trowel and that sucked. What sucks further is I think I left it the previous weekend probably south of Trey in GA. so had to dig with whatever, plus now have to pay penance to the mountain gods for leaving my blasted trowel somewhere.
